1800s - At Sea
Born from Endless Horizons
Whaling ships. Months of isolation. Sailors carved stories into whale bone and teeth, not just to pass time, but to capture the essence of their journey. Each knife became a vessel for memory, carrying tales of storms weathered and shores longed for.
1850s - The Craft
Stories Carved in Bone
With needles made from sail canvas and ink from lamp soot, maritime artisans etched intricate scenes—ships, whales, loved ones left behind. These weren't just tools; they were heirlooms, each scratch a chapter in a sailor's story.
2025 - The Revival
Heritage, Reimagined
WESN and P&Co didn't just study this art—we felt its pull. Using ethically sourced ox bone, raw brass, and Swedish steel, we've honored the sailors' legacy while creating something entirely new. Four designs. Countless stories yet to be written.
