P&Co. has been one of our favorite brands for years. This release marks our third collaboration, and by now, it feels less like a partnership and more like working with family. Scrimshaw is a classic maritime artform that dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries, created primarily by sailors on long sea voyages. With limited materials, they carved intricate designs into whale bone, ivory, and other natural resources they had on hand, filling those carvings with ink or soot. The result was a knife that wasn't just a tool - it was a personal artifact, carrying the maker’s story. Our Scrimshaw Henry collection is a modern interpretation of this tradition.

Every Scrimshaw Henry comes with a complete engraving kit and step-by-step instructions right inside the box. Each knife includes at least one blank bone panel designed specifically for you to carve. Whether you’re etching your initials or creating full artwork, the process is approachable and rooted in the same techniques sailors used over a century ago.

We care deeply about where our materials come from. The ox bone used in these handles is ethically sourced, meaning it is a byproduct of the agricultural industry - never harvested solely for production. It’s our way of honoring traditional scrimshaw materials while staying responsible in how we build.

The Henry is named after our founder’s grandfather, Henry, who carried a slip-joint knife of his own from the early 1900s. His knife inspired the original silhouette and spirit of our Henry - a timeless, reliable slip-joint pocket knife built to be passed down.
